University of North Bengal was founded in 1962, it is a state university, in Raja Rammohanpur and a second campus is in Danguajhar, Jalpaiguri in Jalpaiguri district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Currently, colleges from Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling districts are affiliated to this university.

It offers degrees in undergraduate, post-graduate, M. Phil and doctorate programs.
