I have appeared in the IIT JEE Main Exam this year and unfortunately I got failed in this attempt. So I want to know that how many attempt I can appear in the JEE Main Examination? Give me details about total numbers of attempt for Main and Advanced Examination? Give some tips to crack the JEE Mains exam.

As per my searching earlier only two attempts were allowed to clear the JEE mains exam, but now according to the new official notification, the numbers of attempts have been increased to three.

JEE Main

The engineering entrance exam is conducted to short list candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering programmes.

JEE is dividing into two parts: Main and Advanced.

JEE (Main) is held for admissions to IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), NITs (National Institutes of Technology), CFTIs (Central Funded Technical Institute) and IIEST Shibpur (dual degree programme).

The Joint Entrance Exam Main in 2016 is scheduled to be conducted on April 3, 2016 (offline) and April 9 and 10, 2016 (online).

The last date to apply is December 31 2015

The offline examination will be conducted on April 3, 2016

The online examination will be conducted on April 9 and 10, 2016
