The National Lifeguard Service was incepted in 1964 to improve skills and judgment in lifesaving and first aid training. The institute offers Lifeguard courses.

All assistant lifeguards and lifeguards are certified by the Royal Lifesaving Society of Canada.

Lifeguards are not good swimmers, they are more than this. They rescue people from water accidents. They take training continue to keep their skills, knowledge sharp.
