Sir I want to do MCA from the National institute of technology so I need to apply for the
NIT MCA Common Entrance Test so do you have any idea about the date of application form for the test and also provide me the syllabus for this course?

National Institute of Technology MCA Common Entrance Test NIMCET is conducted on National level by NIT for admission to their MCA programme.

NIMCET Exam Eligibility

Candidates with minimum 60% marks (55% marks in case of SC/ST) in each of the following examinations are eligible for taking this exam

12th or equivalent exam minimum 60% marks (55% marks in case of SC/ST)

Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with Mathematics or Statistics or Business Mathematics as one of the subjects with minimum 60% marks (55% marks in case of SC/ST)

Final year student of graduation can also apply.

Indian Nationals are only eligible to apply for this test.

NIMCET Exam Syllabus

NIMCET exam consists of the following given subject:-

Mathematics:

Set Theory:

Concepts of sets, Union, Intersection, Cardinality, Elementary counting permutations and combinations etc.

Probability and Statistics:

Basic concepts of probability theory, Averages, Dependent and independent events, frequency distributions, measures of central tendencies and dispersions.

Algebra:

Fundamental operations in Algebra, Expansions, Factorization, simultaneous linear and/ quadratic equations, indices, logarithms, arithmetic, geometric and harmonic progressions and their application, determinants and matrices.

Coordinate Geometry:

Rectangular Cartesian coordinates, distance formulae, equation of a line, intersection of lines, pair of straight lines, equations of a circle, parabola, ellipse, and hyperbola.

Calculus:

Limit of functions, Continuous function, Differentiation of function, tangents and normal, simple examples of maxima and minima. Integration of function by parts, by substitution and by partial fraction, Definite integrals, Applications of Definite Integrals to areas.

Vectors:

Position vector, addition and subtraction of vectors, scalar and vector products and their applications to simple geometrical problems and mechanics.

Trigonometry:

Simple identities, trigonometric equations, properties of triangles, solution of triangles, heights and distances, General solutions of trigonometric equations etc.

Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning:

The questions in this section will cover logical reasoning and quantitative aptitude. With some questions on comprehension of a logical situation along with questions based on the facts given in the passage.

Computer Awareness:

Computer Basics:

Organization of a Computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), Structure of instructions in CPU, input/output devices, computer memory, back-up devices and other hardware parts.

Data Representation:

Representation of characters, integers and fractions, binary and hexadecimal representations, Binary Arithmetic: Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, simple arithmetic and two’s complement arithmetic, floating point representation of numbers, Boolean algebra, truth tables, Venn diagrams.

General English:

Questions in this section are designed to test the candidates’ general understanding of the English language. The questions are basically on the following topics.

Comprehension, Vocabulary, Basic English Grammar like usage of correct forms of verbs, prepositions and articles etc. Word power, Synonyms and Antonyms also form the part of the question, Questions are also based on Meanings of words and phrases, Technical writing etc.

NIMCET Exam Pattern

The test will consist of 120 multiple choice questions from Mathematics, Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, General English.

For every correct answer, the candidates will be awarded four marks, whereas for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted.

NIMCET Exam Dates

This exam is normally held in the month of May/June every year.

As I have searched about the entrance exam of MCA, NIT I found that it organizes an entrance exam for MCA i.e. NIMCET . Here I’m providing you the detailed information about the NIMCAT:

Eligibility:
1. the candidate should have maths as a compulsory subject in either 11th or 12th .
2. The candidate should be graduate
Fees:
The Fee for NIMCET-2012 test and counselling for admission to the MCA programme is Rs.1500 for OPEN/OBC category and Rs. 750/- for SC/ST candidates.

NIT MCA Common Entrance Test (NIMCET) is a national-level test for admission to MCA program in the NITs. NIMCET is administered by NIT Surathkal.

Release of NIMCET 2019 Official Notification February 27, 2019
Commencement of Online Registration March 01, 2019
Last date to Apply April 7, 2019 (till 5 P.M)
Availability of NIMCET Admit Card May 14 to 25, 2019
NIMCET 2019 Exam Date May 27, 2019 (10 A.M.- 12 Noon)
Declaration of Result June 06, 2019
Commencement of online choice filling June 10, 2019
End of online choice filling June 14, 2019
NIMCET 2019 Seat Allotment June 16 to July 25, 2019

Eligibility
Candidates must have studied B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT/ B.E/ B.Tech of minimum three years full-time from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects.
They must have minimum 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scales (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST).
Candidates in the final year of the qualifying exam are also eligible.

General/OBC/Unreserved INR 2200
SC/ST/Reserved INR 1100

Exam Pattern
NIMCET question paper is divided into 4 sections namely, Mathematics, Analytical Ability & Logical Reasoning, Computer Awareness, General English

Each question has a weightage of 4 marks.

The total weightage of the exam is 480 marks.

1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.

There is no deduction for unattempted questions.
The section-wise pattern is given below:
