Re: NIT Kurukshetra Scholarship

As you have asked about the scholarships offered by NIT Kurukshetra, I am giving you information about it
1. Merit Scholarship

26 in each academic year in 2nd, 3rd and 4th years awarded in each discipline separately in proportion to intake

One year
Rs. 1000/- per student per year
For Subsequent Years
60 percent or more marks in one attempt in each of the two semester examination in the perious year
For First Year
Make secured in the first semester examination

For Subsequent Years Marks secured in the aggregate in the two semester examination in the previous year.

2. Merit- cum Means Scholarship
52 in first acedemic year only
4 years subject to (b) of eligibility conditions and 50 percent or
in the aggregate in the two semester examinations in each year provided that if a student fails in any subject in a semester examination. His marks in the next immediate examination will be included in the aggregate.
Rs. 300/- per month
(a) first class or 60 percent or more marks in one attempt in the qualifying examination state from which
(b) Parents income from all sources (excluding HRA) not to exceed Rs. 25000/- per annum Standard deduction allowed to salaried people.
Marks secured in the first semester examination.
The DPI of the state from which the student has passed the qualifying examination

3. National Scholarship
Rs. 300/- per month for boarders and Rs. 120/- per month for day scholars
60% or marks in the aggregate in the qualifying examination and parents income not to Rs. 25000/- per annum (excluding HRA) standard deduction allowed to salaried people.
Result of the examination which the student has passed as the qualifying examination

4. National Scholarship for children of School Teachers
Rs. 125/- per month for boarders and Rs. 100/- per month for day scholars
Children of working Teachers of recognised Pre-Primary, Primary and secondary School etc. who have passed the qualifying examination in first division or 60% marks in the aggregate and parents income not to exceed Rs. 25000/- per annum (excluding HRA) Standard deduction allowed to salaried people.
The DPI of the state from which the student has passed the qualifying examination



5. Post matric Scheduled Caste/ Tribe Scholarship
Rs. 425/- per month for boarders and Rs. 190/- per month for day scholars (male) students with exemptionfrom from- full fees. A scheduled Caste/ Tribe Candidate who has passed the qualifying or higher examination and parents income not to exceed Rs. 25000/- per annum
For Students from Haryana Distt. Welfare Officer, Kurukshetra


6. P & T Scholarship
Rs. 50/- per month
Wards of the employees of the P & T Department and parents basic pay not to exceed Rs. 700/- per month.
The Director General, P & T New Delhi

7. Principal DM Sen- Scholarship
4 years
Rs. 250/- P.M.
The Parents/ Gurdian should be unable to support the student for his studies.
B.Tech. 1st semester Result.

8. Sh. R.P. Sahni Memorial Scholarship
Number of students to be awarded scholarship to be decided in view of availibility of funds.
Rs. 2500/- P.M.
Merit of previousexam passed

9. Sh. Shyam Sunder Dhingra Medal & Scholarship
Two in each year
Rs. 5000/- each
Topper student of Engg. Branch
