Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a three-year (six semesters) professional Master's Degree in computer science awarded in India. The course was designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of Information Technology.

Fee structure of MCA in NIT, Calicut:

The basic tuition fee is about Rs. 17.000/- per semester. Along with the tuition fee the candidates need to pay some other small charges like examination fee, computer fee, library fee, registration and enrolment fee, medical and insurance fee, etc.

Admission process:

The admission will be on the basis of performance in the prescribed entrance examination called NIMCET (National Institute of Technology MCA Entrance Test). The NIMCET is NIT MCA Common Entrance Test, a National Level Test conducted by NITs for admission in to their MCA program.

MCA Eligibility:

Eligibility: Indian Nationals securing 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA (55% marks or 6.0/10 CGPA for SC, ST category) in

(i) 12th (i.e. 10 + 2) level or equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects at either 10+1 or 10+2 level or at both the levels
