Can you tell me about the last date to fill up application form for admission in Online Admission Block-1 of National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)?

National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is a national board that provides mainly distance education, regular education to all the rural and urban areas along with vocational education. It administers an examination for secondary i.e. 10th and higher secondary i.e. class 12th.


If one has secondary education certificate, one is eligible to give National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) exams for senior secondary (Class XII) exams and if one has basic education certificate, one can give exam for Class X.

Eligibility Criteria for NIOS Admission 2019




Secondary:

The minimum age to take admission in the Secondary Course is 14 years as on 31st July 2019
One who has passed class VIII and has valid proof of attaining 14 years of age can apply for registration to the Secondary Course.
One giving a self-certificate "I have studied enough to be able to pursue secondary course" is also eligible for admission to the Secondary Course.
One who had studied at the secondary level can also seek admission in NIOS either to complete course or to improve performance.

Sr. Secondary:



The minimum age to take admission in the Senior Secondary Course is 15 years. As on 31st July, 2019
One must have passed the Secondary course from a recognized Board.12th: one must have passed Class 10 from recognized board

Limitation of Age:



For Secondary Course: 14 years
For Senior Secondary Course: 15 years
