NIMHANS stand for National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences which located in Bangalore, INDIA. NIMHANS offered M.Phil. course in Clinical Psychology from a long time with aims to generate highly skilled and competent human resources for delivering clinical psychology services as well as undertaking research.

M.PHIL. IN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY
Duration: 2 years
The course gives a comprehensive coverage of
(1) Psychodiagnostic assessment
(2) Counseling and psychotherapy
(3) Family & Martial therapies
(4) Behaviour Medicine and Cognitive Behaviour therapy
(5) Child and Adolescent Mental Health
(6) Management of Substance Abuse
(7) Psychosocial Rehabilitation &
(8) Neuropsychology.
(9) Psychopathology.
(10) Statistics & Research Methods.

The didactic lectures, clinical teaching through case conferences and topic discussions are held regularly.

Seminars and Journal clubs provide additional input. Candidates are required to carry out a research project on topics of clinical
relevance to gain an orientation to research methods. Candidates work under supervision, with adult and child populations with a range of psychiatric and neurological problems, thereby gaining clinical expertise.
