: National Institute of Technology conducts Common Entrance Test is the national level entrance test for admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) Courses

Eligibility:

Candidates must have minimum 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale(55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10 point scale in case of SC, ST)

In BSc/ BSc(Hons)/ BCA / BIT of a full time,3 year course OR

BE/ BTech or equivalent from a recognised university

Tentative dates :

Availability of Online Application form
By third week of February

Closing date of Online Application form
By last week of March

Last date for receipt of filled in Application form along with requisite DD by post / hand
By first week of April

Date of Examination
By second week of May

Results
Last week of May/First week of June

Counselling starts from
Second week of June

Application form Fees details

Open category candidates have to pay Rs-1800.
Rs-900 for SC/ST category candidates
Candidates have pay their fees via State Bank Collect only for the NIMCET application fee.

What happens to a student if he clears an exam with good marks but can not clear the eligibility criteria?
