Re: ICMR Guidelines for Obesity

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and 20 other Indian health organizations released the first India-specific guidelines for prevention and management of obesity in New Delhi on November 25, 2008.
Obesity as you very well that is mother of all diseases as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and even some cancers. India has the highest diabetic population in the world and is expected to grow.

(b) Obese : 25
(c) For initiation of Drug therapy : 25

2.Diagnostic cutoffs for waist circumference for diagnosis of abdominal obesity
(a)Men > 90cm
