The second state to become a State bank of India probationary officer is Descriptive Exam.

The Descriptive Exam is for 1 hour, the exam examines the English skills of the candidate. Descriptive Exam has questions form comprehension, short precis, letter writing & essay).

Here, I am giving you some questions which asked in the SBI PO Descriptive Exam.

Essays:
Write an essay on any one of the following topics in approximately 250 words : (Marks : 12)
1. Women Entrepreneurs in India
2. Importance of Investment
3. Essay on SME
4. Banks play a vital role in day to day life
5. Entrance Exam – An evil
6. Pros n cons of winning lottery
7. Women Bill
8. Women security at the workplace a deep concern
9. Inclusive growth
10. Cottage Industries
11. Socialism
12. Blessings of science
13. Dowry deaths
14. My Motherland
15. ’Banks are manufacture of money’’
16. Features of economic recession.
17. A day when everything went wrong.

Letter Writing:
Write a Letter in about 150 words on any one of the following: (Marks - 10)
1. Letter to your sibling advising him/her to prepare for a competitive exam
2. Writing a job offer acceptance letter for the post of Assistant Manager
3. Complaint to CEO regarding the extra work in office
4. Letter to sibling for telling benefits for future of money saving
5. Letter to bank manager requesting to extend the joining period as you have received the offer letter for the bank job.

7. Write a letter to your manager asking permission for a leave to attend a family function.
8. Write a letter to a student preparing for his Board Examination giving tips healthy study habits.
9. Write a letter to the Editor of a newspaper commending it on an article published in it regarding Environmental awareness and adding your own views on the duty of every citizen to protect the environment.

12. Write a letter To you bank for a loan to have higher studies in USA.
13. Write a letter to your Siblings mentioning how to prepare for Competitive Exams.
14. Write a letter to the company for accepting the job offer of an assistant manager in the company
15. Write a letter on behalf of your department to the CEO of your company for working in late hours and not appreciated by management members.

3. Paragraph Writing:
Write a paragraph in not more than 130 word: (Marks - 8)

4. Precise Writing:
Make a precise of the following passage in English in your own words, in about one-third. Marks will also be deducted if your precise is much longer or shorter than the prescribed length. State the number of words used by you in your precise". No choice will be there. (Marks 10)

Detailed information regarding the exam pattern of SBI Bank PO Descriptive Exam is given below :

Descriptive Exam Pattern
SBI PO exam will contain the following sections & cutoff scores,
Some important points to understand in here are:
You will have to answer the descriptive section within 60 minutes (1 hour)
The minimum qualifying marks for descriptive test in previous year exams were 20 (Gen) & 18 (others).
It shall be conducted for 50 marks

You can expect the English descriptive paper to contain questions from these categories:
Letter Writing
Reading comprehension &
Paragraph writing
Precis writing
Essay Writing
