Tech) & other professional courses in Government/ University/ Private Aided/Private un-aided institutions in Karnataka State conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) KCET Exam Pattern 2020 Exam Mode: The KCET exam will be conducted via offline mode (pen and paper based test). Courses: Candidates will get admissions in engineering, technology, pharmacy, Ayurveda, homeopathy and other science courses. Subjects: The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects. Type of Question: In this examination, objective type questions will be asked from each subject. Exam Duration: One will have total 80 minutes for each section. The exam will be conducted in different sessions, i.e. morning session (10:30 AM to 11:50 AM) & Afternoon session (2:30 PM to 3:50 PM). Language of Question Paper: The questions will be asked in English language. One will also have an option to choose the Kannada language. Writing Mode: One will only use black or blue ball point pen to mark their answers. Marking Scheme: One mark will be given for each correct answer. Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking in this exam. In case of more than one answer for each question will be considered as a wrong answer. KCET exam generally conducted in month of may . KCET exam Eligibility Criteria : For KCET engineering entrance exam: Candidate must have study Mathematics, Physics as compulsory subjects and must obtained aggregate minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC, ST, OBC) in aggregate. For KCET Medical entrance exam: Candidate must have obtained at least 50% (40% for SC, ST, OBC) aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in qualifying exam . KCET examination pattern : Question paper of Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics will each be of 60 marks. Kannada language test of 50 marks shall be conducted for Horanadu and Gadinadu Kannadiga candidates. Agricultural practical examination of 200 marks to be held for claiming seats under agriculturist quota. There is no negative marking |
