The Indian Maritime University came into being through an Act of Parliament (Act 22) on 14th November 2008 as a Central University and is poised to play a key role in the development of trained human resource for the maritime sector. 14th November is celebrated as 'IMU Day' every year.


IMU CET 2020 Admission Process

Fill IMU CET 2020 Application Form
The eligible candidates can fill IMU CET application form.
One has to pay the fee to submit the application form successfully.


Download IMU CET Admit Card 2020
The admission authority will release the admit card for the eligible candidates only.
One will be able to download IMU CET admit card by using the login credentials.
Without admit card, no candidate will get permission to appear in the exam.


Appear in IMU CET 2020
One who wants to take admission should appear in IMU CET 2020.
The exam will be conducted in online mode at the various exam centres across India.


IMU CET 2020 Result Declaration
IMU CET result will be released after a few days of the examination.
One who will qualify the exam will get the call for appearing in the further admission process.


IMU CET Eligibility Criteria 2020


Age Limit


One belonging to General category should be a minimum of 17 years and maximum 25 years old as on August 1, 2020.

One belonging to SC/ST category will have a maximum of 5 years age relaxation.


Academic Qualification

One should have cleared class 12th with a minimum aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.

One should have secured at least 50% marks in English.

One belonging to SC/ST categories will have relaxation in marks but there will not be any relaxation in English.


Qualifying Examination

One should have passed class 12th from any recognized central or state board:

Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi
Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi
Intermediate or two-year Pre-University exam conducted by a recognized Board/ University
General Certificate Education (GCE) exam (London/ Cambridge/ Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level
The final exam of 2 year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy
H.S.C vocational exam
High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or
International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva
Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects
H.S.C vocational exam
Diploma recognized by AICTE or a state board of technical education of at least 3-year duration
Any Public School/Board/University exam in India or in any foreign country recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities.


Medical Fitness

One applying for Marine Engineering will have to issue a medical certificate from doctors who are approved by Director General of Shipping.

One applying for B. Tech (Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering) and B. Sc (Ship Building & Repair) will have to issue a Physical fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner.


Eyesight

One applying for B. Sc (Applied Nautical Science), B. Sc (Nautical Science), B. Sc (Maritime Science) & B. Tech (Marine Engineering) should not be:

Squint
No morbid condition of eyes
The eyelids that is liable to aggravate or recur
There should be no pressure of trachoma and iris complication sequel
Good binocular vision
Eyeballs should move in all directions
Pupils should react normally to light and accommodation

One joining DNS, B. Sc (Nautical Science) & B. Sc (Maritime Science) degree course colour vision shall (unaided 1.0 (6/6) in better eye and 0.67 (6/9) in other eye. Normal colour vision shall be tested by the Ishihara test chart.

One applying for B. Tech (Marine Engineering) degree course, distance vision (unaided 0.5 (6/12) in each eye or 0.67 (6/9) in better eye and 0.33 (6/18) in other eye. Normal colour vision shall be tested by the Ishihara test chart.

My Sister wants to take admission in Under Graduate Course at Indian Maritime University so please give me list of all Under Graduate Courses offered at Indian Maritime University with Admission Procedure and eligibility criteria?
