NITIE (National Institute of Industrial Engineering) uses CAT (Common Admission Test) scores for short listing/selecting the candidates for admission in PGDIM and PGDISEM programmes.


Seats in PGDIM/PGDISEM

Total seats available for the admissions in academic year 2020 are 304 seats for PGDIM and 47 seats are available for PGDISEM programme.

15% of the approved intake (in supernumerary quota) will be reserved for international students in each programme offered by NITIE.


NITIE Mumbai Admission Reservation Policy 2020

The reservation policy for different categories is as follows:


OBC (NCL)/ SC/ ST/ PwD candidates- Seats for the reserved categories will be allotted as per the rules of Government of India. One belonging to reserved category must produce the original document at the time of selection rounds.

Sponsored Category- 15 seats of PGDISEM are available for sponsored candidates.

NITIE Mumbai invited applicants for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management (PGDIM) and Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety and Environmental Studies (PGDISEM).

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their Common Admission Test (CAT) score for NITIE. Shortlisted candidates will then be called for selection procedure (GD/PI round) of NITIE Mumbai.

NITIE Mumbai Admission Eligibility Criteria 2020

One graduated in Engineering/Technology must have 60% marks in aggregate (5% relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates) along with a valid CAT 2019 score.

Reservation for reserved categories like SC/ST/PwD is regulated as per the norms set by the Government of India.

One appearing in the final year of graduation (Engineering/Technology) can also apply provided they fulfil the criteria till the given dates.

Yes there is reservation in National Institute of Industrial Engineering for under-privileged candidates belonging to other backward classes (OBC) is minimum 18 - 23%...

Reservation for SC/ST/PD and OBC candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy Layer” is as per the Government of India rules.
