The paper consists of 3 major sections: Writing, Mathematics and Critical Reading. Test Duration Number of Questions Evidence-based Reading and Writing Reading 65 Minutes 52 Writing and Language 35 Minutes 44 Mathematics Math (Calculator not allowed) 25 Minutes 20 Math (Calculator allowed) 55 Minutes 38 ∑ 230 Minutes ∑ 154 Questions Essay (Optional) 50 Minutes 1 Task The Writing- The writing section of the test is 60 minutes long and is composed of both multiple choice questions and an essay. The SAT will begin with the 25 minute essay. The essay will be scored on a scale of 1 to 6. Students will have 35 minutes to complete this portion of the test. The Math The math section is 70 minutes long and composed of both multiple choice questions and student-produced response questions. The Critical Reading The critical reading section tests a students ability to understand what they have read, quickly. Like the math section, it is 70 minutes in length. Two different question types can be found in this section, the sentence completion and the passage-based reading. There will be 19 sentence completion questions on the test. There are also 48 passage-based reading questions in this section. |

| Unregistered | How Long Does the Scholastic Aptitude Test Last I will appear in the Scholastic Aptitude Test next year. So I want to know that how long does the Scholastic Aptitude Test last time. So please provide me official notification for this year Test to get information about its duration. Can any student appear in this Exam or it has particular criteria to apply? |
