The Department of Health and family welfare, Karnataka is a department under the state government of Karnataka.

Directorate of Health and Family Welfare Services is a division of it.
The Head Office of the Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Services is situated in the State Head Quarters, which has got Director of Health and Family Welfare Services as the Head of the Department and assisted by several Additional Directors, Joint and Deputy Directors to implement and monitor several Centrally sponsored & State sponsored Health Programmes.
There are Joint Directors for Health & Planning, Public Health Institute, Communicable Diseases, Health Education & Training, IEC,RCH,Ophthalmology, Tuberculosis,Leprosy, Malaria & Filaria, Joint Director(Medical) . These Joint Directors are assisted by respective Deputy Directors.

Rural Health component of the Minimum Needs Programme.
Medical Development programme and Hospital Pharmacy Programme.
National 'AIDS' Control Programme.
Reproductive Child Health (RCH ). Family Welfare and Immunization Programme.
National Leprosy Eradication Programme.
National Tuberculosis Control Programme.
National Programme for Control of Blindness Programme.
National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme.
National Guineaworm Eradication Programme.
Prevention and control of Communicable Diseases like Diarrhoeal diseases,JapaneseEncephalitis etc.
Health Education and Training Programme.
Nutrition Programme - Nutrition Education & Demonstration.
National Iodine deficiency Disorder Programme.
Laboratory Services and Vaccine Production Units.
Education and Environmental Sanitation & Curative Services.
