Raman Vij | Re: Job opportunities for Aeronautical Engineers V/S for Mechanical Engineers An aerospace engineer undergraduate to a large extent harder time getting mechanical engineering jobs without any experience. A mechanical engineer will most likely have a wider variety of employment options, because they aren't as specialized. Aerospace engineers may develop innovative technologies for use in aviation, defense systems, and spacecraft. They often concentrate in areas such as aerodynamic fluid flow; structural design; guidance, navigation, and control; instrumentation and communication; robotics; and propulsion and combustion. Many roles that remain as a mechanical engineering expert is applying the skills and knowledge to those specific aspects of the employer’s technical operations skill set. Aerospace engineers can concentrate in designing different types of aerospace products, such as commercial and military airplanes and helicopters; remotely piloted aircraft and rotorcraft; spacecraft, including launch vehicles and satellites; and military missiles and rockets. Mechanical Engineering careers in some areas engage becoming more of a generalist, drawing on or developing awareness of other engineering disciplines and perhaps doing the same job as a fellow engineer The industries that employed the most aerospace engineers are as follows: Aerospace product and parts manufacturing Scientific research and development services Architectural, engineering, and related services Federal government Automotive control Electrical & electronics Instruments & manufacturing Materials & mathematics Mechanical & physics Power systems software Navigational Measuring & Electro Medical and Control Instruments Manufacturing. Mechanical engineering graduates are sought after by employers in almost all sectors of the engineering industry. These include: Aerospace industry Automotive industry Chemical industry Construction industry Defence industry Electronics industry Fast moving consumer goods industry Marine industry Materials and metals industry Pharmaceuticals industry Rail industry Utilities industry |
