IBAN also known as International Bank Account Number, which one can use when making or receiving international payments.

The IBAN doesn’t substitute your sort code & account number ─ it’s an additional number that contains extra information to help overseas banks identify your account for payments.

In order to accept an international payment, you’ll need to provide the sender with some details.

The International Bank Account Number (IBAN) can be found on the statement, or you can generate the IBAN for your Barclays sterling account using the tool on the international payments page

Your address
The amount and the money you’d like to receive the payment in.
