Marks : 75 (25+50) LIST OF EXPERIMENTS The experiments in Ist semester will be based mainly upon optics, electrostatics, wave and oscillations which are the parts of the theory syllabus of Ist semester. 1. To find the wavelength of sodium light by Newton's rings experiment. 2. To find the wavelength of sodium light by Fresnel's biprism experiment. 3. To find the wavelength of various colours of white light with the help of a plane transmission diffraction grating. 4. To verify Newton's formula and hence to find the focal length of convex lens 5.
