Common Law Admission Test is conducted by rotation by one of the NLUs for admission to their undergraduate and post graduate programmes, i.e., BA LL.B & LL.M

The Allahabad High Court had passed the judgement that there will be no maximum age limit to appear in the Common Law Admission Test .

CLAT UG Eligibility Criteria -

Students must have pass Intermediate (10+2) with not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of SC and ST candidates)

Students appearing or have appeared in the 10+2 examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to appear

CLAT PG Eligibility Criteria –

Students must have obtained a LL. B/B. L. Degree or with not less than 55% marks in aggregate (50% in case of SC and ST candidates).

Students qualifying degree exam through supplementary and repeated attempts are also eligible for appearing in the law exam with 55% percent marks

Pattern of CLAT UG paper:

Duration of the examination – 2 hours

Total marks for CLAT 2015 UG – 200

Total number of MCQs – 200

0.25 marks will be deducted for each of the wrong answers.

Questions will be asks from following sections :

English including comprehension 40
General knowledge/ Current Affairs 50
Elementary Math ( Numerical Ability) 20
Legal aptitude 50
Logical reasoning 40

Pattern of CLAT PG paper:

Total marks 150

Duration of the exam 2 hours

Jurisprudence 50 marks

Constitutional Law 50 marks

Other law subjects (including Contract, Torts, Criminal Law, International Law, Family Law, Property Law, IPR, etc.) 50 marks
