Indian Coast Guard (Ministry of Defence) conducts Assistant Commandant Exam

Eligibility:
General Duty
Must have Bachelor's degree from recognized university with at least 60% marks in aggregate
Mathematics and Physics as subject up to XII with 60% aggregate marks of both subjects

Technical Branch
Must have Engineering degree with at least 60% marks in aggregate or should have passed Sections A and B examination from the Institution of Engineers (India) in required discipline with 60% marks.

Pilots
Must have passed 12th standard with Aggregate 60% marks and also 60% aggregate marks of both Mathematics and Physics subjects
Should possess current / valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) approved by DGCA on the date of Preliminary Selection.

Law
Must have passed Degree in Law with at least 60 % marks (Three years degree in Law after graduation) or (Five years after 10+2 examination)

Indian Coast Guard is one of the Indian Armed forces, established on 18th August, 1978. It has invited the applications for the posts of Technical Assistant Commandant
(Mechanical/Aeronautical/Electrical). The organization conducts examination for the Assistant Commandant.

Eligibility:
Degree with 60% marks in aggregate in Naval architecture / Mechanical/ Marine/Design/ Production /Aeronautical/ Automotive / Industrial and Production/ Aeronautical/ Instrumentation and Control/ Electrical/ Electronics and Tele Communication in any of the above discipline, recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

And should have 60% marks in Physics and Maths in 12th class or three year diploma course. or Should have passed sections A and B of Institute of Engineers (India) examination in any of the discipline listed above with 60% marks.

Medical Standards:

Height in Cms: 157 cms minimum
Weight : Proportionate to the Height and Age, + 10 % acceptable
Chest Well proportionate, minimum expansion 5 cms
Eye Sight: 6/12 (Good Eye) and 6/36 (Bad Eye)
Eye Sight is very important. Here I am giving you the chart for eyesight standards.



Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs 5400


How to Apply:
The candidates may apply online on to the official website of coast guard. The candidates may apply till 22nd June, 2012.
After submitting online application, candidates are required to print two copies of the application with number generated by the system.

Selection process:
Eligible candidates will appear in Preliminary Selection centres which will consist of Mental Ability test and PP&DT(Picture Perception and Discussion Test).
Final selection will be based on the rules and regulations of the
Coast guard.
The detailed selection process is given in the image attachd below.

(c) Indian Coast Guard Air Squadron -700, Naval Transmitting Station, Military Camp, Bagjola, Private Road, Dumdum (Near Nagerbazar) Kolkata – 74
(d) Indian Coast Guard Selection Board, A-1, Sector -24, Noida, Opposite HCL Technologies, Dist Gautam Budh Nagar, UP - 201 301

Documents Required:
The candidate should be appear along with the following documents at the selection centre:

One copy of pre-filled online application
Proof of identity
Caste Certificate (if applicable)
Two recent colour passport size photographs
Current and Valid Commercial Pilot License (approved by DGCA) in original for Asst Comdt CPL entry only
Original certificate of tenth class
Original mark sheet and certificates of 10+2 examination
Original certificate and mark sheets (all semesters and years) of BE/B Tech /Graduation as the case may be

Exam Pattern:
The MAT exam is divided into three sessions:
Reasoning
General Intelligence
General Awareness

The candidates qualifying MAT exam have to appear in PPDT (Picture Perception and Discussion Test). The short listed candidates will be called for the final selection process including the following tests:-
