| pooja | Re: Pass mark in BPUT semester exam The Biju Patnaik University of Technology is introduced rules for passing marks. In order to pass a programme / course a candidate must secure at least Pass Grade in each of the Theory, Practical, Project, Seminar, Sessional and Viva Voce items and maintain a minimum level of overall performance as specified in the Clause 7.3. Passed marks: The candidate has cleared every registered course item of both odd and even semester of the academic year. He / She have no backlog from lower levels. He / She have secured CGPA of 6.0 or more. Passing marks are needed in Biju Patnaik University of Technology    Minimum Pass Mark from Industry Evaluation is 450 (i.e. 60%) The minimum duration of B.Tech programme is Four years (Eight Semesters) while maximum duration is seven years. The minimum duration of B.Pharm programme is Four years (Eight Semesters) while maximum duration is seven years. The minimum duration of B.Arch programme is Five years (Ten Semesters) while maximum duration is eight years. The minimum duration of MCA programme is of 3 years (Six Semesters) duration while maximum duration is five years. A student should have minimum 75% attendance in all the subjects. A student who has been absent due to valid reasons like due to participation in cultural, sports, other academic / official assignments or on health ground, shall be permitted an additional concession upto 10% in attendance. A student shall not be allowed to appear at University examination/ Special Examination having attendance less than 65% in any of the registered subjects.
