I want to appear in NERIST Entrance Exam . Will you please provide the information regarding the Reservation of Seats in the NERIST Entrance Exam ?

NERIST NEE entrance exam is conducted by North Eastern Institute of Science & Technology for admission to Diploma , Certificate and Degree Programs at different centres located in the North Eastern States of India.

Reservation of Seats

For Bachelor of Engineering ( NEE- III ):

Reservation of Seats for NERIST ( NEE-III ) -:

The categories are as under:

(i) State–quota: Students who belong to any of the Eight North Eastern States;

(ii) PD-quota: Students with 40 to 75% Physical locomotors Disability belonging to any of the States of India.

(iii) All India-quota: Students belong to any of the States of India;

80% of seats are reserved for Students of the eight North Eastern States ( 10% for each state ) as state-quota.

10% seats are filled up with Students under All India-quota; and 3% of the total seats are reserved for PD persons under PD-quota.

7% of the total seats are filled up with PRC holders of these eight North Eastern States on merit basis.

Each reservation code is a 4-digit number,


Eligibility for NERIST NEE II

Qualification:

(i) For Engineering and Technology Stream

Students should pass 10+2 Vocational in Electronics/ Refrigeration & Air Conditioning / Automobile Technology/ Farm Machinery & Equipment / Electrical / Structure & Fabrication Technology/ Computer Science

OR

Students should have a NERIST Certificate (E&T).

Students should pass 10+2 PCM/PCMB in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics separately.

(ii) For Forestry stream

Students should pass 10+2 PCM/PCMB in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (vocational in Forestry/Horticulture) or NERIST Certificate (Forestry)

The age of students must be 23 for general category and 28 years for SC/ST/PH and 26 years for OBC and female students.
