NDA Entrance Exam Age Criteria

UPSC has announced change in upper age limit of applicants dates willing to join National defense academy

NDA Exam New Age limit-
Applicants having age between 16-1/2 to 19-1/2 is eligible
•
Only unmarried male applicants are eligible to sit in written exam.
•
No reservation in age allowed for SC/ST/OBC etc

• Girls are not allowed to apply for NDA.

•10+2 qualified or appearing both can apply subject to prescribed age limit
•
While applying, applicants have to select first NDA or NA (naval Academy)
•
If selected NDA, applicants can opt for their preferences of Indian Army, Air force and Navy
•
To select air force or Indian Navy, applicants must studied with Math and physics in 10+2. However, for Indian army, applicants need not to be of science background.
•
After qualifying written exam, applicants will be called for SSB interview and medical examination
•
Applicants will finally selected for 3 years degree course of National Defense Academy on basis of all India merit list.

NDA entrance exam is taken by the UPSC twice in a year i.e, NDA I &NDA II. in every year.

Eligibility criteria:
Applicants age should be in between 16.5 to 19years
Candidates must be completed 12th standard from recognized state board of India with physics and Maths
Students must have citizenship of India
Only unmarried male interested Students are eligible

The selection constituting following steps:
Writing exam
Interview
Medical test
