The National Board for Certified Counselors, Inc was established in 1982 and it is a not-for-profit, independent certification organization.

Today, there are more than 55,000 National Certified Counselors (NCCs) in more than 40 countries.

National Board for Certified Counselors is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
