NATA 2014 Exam Pattern:
There are two sections, on the basis of which a candidate’s aptitude is measured for NATA 2014 The Exam Pattern for NATA 2014 includes a paper based section for drawing and computer based section for aesthetic sensitivity.

The Drawing Test is for 2 hours and Aesthetic Sensitivity Test comprises of 40 questions with 60 to 90 seconds given for each question.

NATA 2014 Application Fees:
Rs 1000.

NATA 2014 Application Fees can be paid:
Online through Netbanking, Credit Cards/ ICICI Isure

NATA Eligibility:
Candidates must have passed class 12th or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible for NATA 2014.

They must have studied Mathematics as a main subject in 10+2.

Those applicants who have passed SSC (Class 10th) or equivalent examination can appear for NATA 2014 but are not eligible to apply for the B.Arch courses.

NATA Syllabus:
Drawing aptitude is judged on the following aspects-
• Ability to sketch a given object proportionately and rendering the same in visually appealing manner.
• Visualising and drawing the effects of light on the object and shadows cast on surroundings.
• Sense of perspective drawing.
• Combining and composing given three dimensional elements to form a building or structural form.
• Creating interesting two dimensional composition using given shapes and forms.
• Creating visual harmony using colours in given composition.
• Understanding of scale and proportions.
• Drawing from memory through pencil sketch on themes from day to day experiences.

Aesthetic Sensitivity Test
This is computer based test where candidates have to answer multiple choice questions. The aesthetic sensitivity test measures perception, imagination, observation, creativity and communication along with architectural awareness and comprises of-

• Visualising three dimensional objects from two dimensional drawings.
• Visualising different sides of three dimensional objects.
• Identifying commonly used materials and objects based on their textural qualities.
• Analytical reasoning.
• Mental Ability.
• Imaginative comprehension and expression.
• Architectural awareness.

Hey as NATA is commonly known as National Aptitude Test in Architecture. The NATA exam is conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA). NATA is a national level examination conducted for the students seeking admission into under-graduate courses in architecture.

NATA 2015 Registration Extended Last Date Saturday, August 29, 2015

NATA Exam Last Date Friday, August 21, 2015

NATA Exam Starts From Wednesday, April 1, 2015

Online Registration for Application Forms Monday, March 30, 2015

Eligibility

Those applicants who have passed SSC (Class 10th) or equivalent examination can appear for NATA 2015 but are not eligible to apply for the B.Arch courses.
