Here I am giving you information about important dates for National Aptitude Test in Architecture for admission in B arch course offered by reputed colleges in India .

NATA 2014 Important Dates:
Events Important Dates
Notification of Registration February 26, 2014
NATA 2014 Online Application Form March 1, 2014 onwards
Registration at the centers March 1, 2014 onwards

Test Dates
Phase – I from March 14 to May 25, 2014
Phase - II from June 1 to August 31, 2014

Score Card
4 days after the NATA 2014 test

Now dates for NATA exam is over , next year NATA exam notification will publish on February month of 2015 year


NATA Syllabus
Paper Pattern
NATA 2014 Paper Pattern:-

The test is in two parts.
• PART 01: Paper based drawing test and computer based online aesthetic sensitivity test.
• PART 02: Drawing Test This is a two hour paper where candidate has to attempt three questions.

Drawing aptitude is judged on the following aspects-
• Ability to sketch a given object proportionately and rendering the same in visually appealing manner.
• Visualising and drawing the effects of light on the object and shadows cast on surroundings.
• Sense of perspective drawing.
• Combining and composing given three dimensional elements to form a building or structural form.
• Creating interesting two dimensional composition using given shapes and forms.
• Creating visual harmony using colours in given composition.
• Understanding of scale and proportions.
• Drawing from memory through pencil sketch on themes from day to day experiences.

Aesthetic Sensitivity Test
This is computer based test where candidates have to answer multiple choice questions. The aesthetic sensitivity test measures perception, imagination, observation, creativity and communication along with architectural awareness and comprises of-

• Visualising three dimensional objects from two dimensional drawings.
• Visualising different sides of three dimensional objects.
• Identifying commonly used materials and objects based on their textural qualities.
• Analytical reasoning.
• Mental Ability.
• Imaginative comprehension and expression.
• Architectural awareness.
