Would you please give here brief History about the Nalanda University I want to know about the same ?

Nalanda was a great center of Buddhist learning in ancient times. Nalanda University was founded in the 5th century by the Gupta rulers. Lord Vardhamana Mahavir and Lord Buddha visited Nalanda normally in the 6th century BC.

Main courses which were taught there were :
Buddhist scriptures (both Mahayana and Hinayana),
Vedas,
Logic,
Shabda Vidya (grammar),
Chikitsa vidya (medicine)
Science,
Astronomy,
Medicine etc..
