The main campus of the University is created in 1960. This Building is lies to the west of the Kukkarahalli Lake.

The University has its headquarters at Crawford Hall, is located across the lake to the east.

Two satellite campuses have since been set up in response to the demands for postgraduate education in suburban and rural areas:
The Sir M.Visveswaraya Postgraduate Centre at Tubinakere in Mandya,

The campus, located in the idyllic area and adjacent to Kukkarahalli Lake that has inspired many writers, lies within the heart of the heritage city of Mysore in a picturesque area of 739 acres.
