Mumbai University provides two MBA type courses. They are Master of Management Studies (MMS) and Masters Degree Program in Financial Services Management (MFSM). The University of Mumbai is one of the first three state universities of India and the oldest in Maharashtra. It is abbreviated as MU for Mumbai University Well the Mumbai university provide the Master of Management Studies (MMS) program and not MBA so I am givng you the syllabus for the same The duration of this course is two years and it comprises of four semesters in all. It further provides specialisations in: Marketing Systems Finance Human Resource Operations The syllabus for the first year is common and these specialisations have to be chosen in the second year. The first year has two semesters and the syllabus for the first semester in the first year is described below: Operations Management The contents that will be taught in this subject are: Basics of Environmental Management Basics of Work Study, Job Design Basics of Statistical Quality Control Business Mathematics This subject emphasis on all the important mathematical terms. They are: Frequency Distribution For Mean, Proportion, Variance Proportion & Standard Deviation Perspective Management This subject focuses on subjects such as: Levels, types and needs of planning Organizational Communication, Management of Change Corporate Planning & Long Range Planning Managerial Economics The faculties for this subject teaches about the cost and profit related aspects. The syllabus that is covered includes: Economics Concepts relevant to Business Input-Output Analysis Product-line Pricing Cost of Capital Information Technology for Management This subject focuses on all the aspects regarding information technology Though it comprises of 9 sessions, most of the important technologies of IT field are taught here which include: Basics of Internet Basics and Components of Networking Impact of IT on Business and Society Marketing Management Students are taught about marketing strategies and techniques that can be implemented globally.
