Maharashtra B.Ed CET is option for teaching candidates wishing to pursue B.Ed courses in Maharashtra.

Eligibility:-

Applicants who have completed three year graduation/post graduation in any faculty from a recognized university or any course which Maharashtra Government has given equivalency with graduation are eligible to apply.

Applicants from universities outside Maharashtra belonging to all categories are required to secure a minimum 50% marks at their graduate or post graduate degree exam in order to be eligible for CET exam.

Applicants belonging to open category who have secured minimum 50% marks and those Applicants belonging to backward class (SC, ST, VJ-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SBC) who have secured minimum 45% marks are eligible to apply.

Paper Pattern:-

Medium of CET: Medium of CET will be Marathi/English only.

The CET will comprise of the following sections namely, Mental Ability, Teacher Aptitude and General Knowledge of 50 marks and will be of one hour duration of objective (multiple choice) questions

English Language Content Test will be conducted for 50 marks for the applicants who are desirous of seeking admission in English medium colleges.

The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Programme of MU aims at developing the understanding and competencies required by practicing teachers for effective teaching-learning process.

Admission:

Admission in B.Ed at MU colleges is complete through an entrance exam.

Admission Procedure:-

The admission procedure is based on the CE test entranced exam.

You will be examined in the following subjects: 5 papers x 100 marks each

Paper I: Foundations of Education

Paper II: Educational Psychology

Paper III: Educational Management and Educational Evaluation

Paper IV: Information and Communication Technology in Education & Special Field.

B.Ed admission Eligibility:

Applicants must have passed a Bachelor’s degree examination with a minimum of 45% marks.

B.Ed Entrance Test:

Applicants will be selected through CET.

The total marks for the entrance examination will be 100 and the duration of the examination will be of 90 minutes.

The questions will be objective type, covering

(i) General Mental Ability,
(ii) General Knowledge,
ii) General English,
(iv) Broad aspects of general education and special education.

Selection will be made in the order of merit.
