About the department:
Teaching and research in social work was started in Lucknow University in the first phase of the development of professional social work education in India. J.K, Institute of Sociology, Ecology and Human Relations was established in 1948 under the inspiring leadership of the doyen of social sciences in India, Late Prof. Radha Kamal Mukerjee.

Duration
The total duration of the course shall be of two years, spread over in four semesters.

Fees:
A one time enrolment fee of Rs. 750.00 will be charged at the time of admission from non Lucknow University students.
A sum of Rs. 25.00 per year will be charged as ID card fee.

Eligibility
Any graduate with 3 year-degree in any stream shall be eligible for admission to the course.
