Re: MS Computer Science Yale University
The Master of Science (MS) program is intended for students planning to pursue a professional career directly after finishing the MS program, rather than continuing on in a PhD program. The main purpose of the program is to expand the student’s depth of knowledge substantially beyond the BA/BS in Computer Science or related field. The Yale Computer Science MS course offers students the unique opportunity to study with faculty in small classes, and on a one to one basis. Graduate Program of The Master of Science has the following tracks: General Track Specialized Track in Bioinformatics Specialized Track in Computing and the Arts General Track For qualifying for the Master of Science degree, an aspirant must pass eight courses at the 500-level or above in the Computer Science Department. Advanced graduate courses in other departments that involve concepts from computer science and are particularly relevant to an individual program may, with permission of the Director of Graduate Studies, be counted towards the degree.
