The Centre For Research, Anna University offers M.S.(By Research) programs in various disciplines.

M.S.(By Research) programs

M.S. (By Research) Degree in Engineering/ Technology-

Eligibility-

B.E/B.Tech. in the relevant branch of Engineering / Technology.

M.S. (By Research). Degree in Science and Humanities-

Eligibility-

M.Sc. / M.A. (English / Communication / Mass Communication / Journalism / Media Arts) in the relevant branch of Science and Humanities / M.C.A

M.S. (By Research). Degree in Management Sciences

Eligibility-

B.E / B.Tech in any branch of Engineering/ Technology or Masters degree in any branch of Science and Humanities

M.S. (By Research). Degree in Architecture and Planning

Eligibility-

B.Arch. / B.Plan

A minimum of 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10 point scale in the qualifying examination (In case of SC/ST/Differently Abled candidates, 50% marks or CGPA of 5.0 on a 10 point scale).

Mode of selection-

The preliminary scrutiny will be done by the Centre for Research and short list the eligible candidates as per norms.

The short listed candidates shall be called for written test

The selection shall be based on the performance of the candidate in written test, Interview and the marks scored in the PG qualifying degree.

A minimum cumulative mark of 50% is fixed for selection based on the performance in the Entrance test, Qualifying exam and Interview and the successful candidates shall be short listed.

Candidates who have UGC, UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/SLET/GATE/teacher fellowship holder are exempted from written test and interview.
