MPSC acronym as Maharashtra Public Service Commission Is the main basis of the Govt. Job for Many Maharashtra Job seekers. Thousands Of candidates are right now preparing for the MPSC exam like AE, VAO, VRO, group 1, 2, 3 and, lecturer exams and many others.

The syllabus of marks of MPSC Preliminary Exam is specified below:

Arts & Social Sciences – 30 marks

Intelligence Test – 50 marks

Current Affairs – 30 marks

Science & Technology – 30 marks

Commerce & Economics – 30 marks

Agriculture – 30 marks

Total – 200 marks

Preliminary Examination Syllabus

1 Marathi Language
2 English Language
3 Current Affairs of National and International importance.
4 General Mental Ability : {Logical reasoning, analytical ability, problem solving, basic numeracy}
5 General Science :

Main Examination : Paper I ‐Syllabus
1 History of India with emphasis on that of Maharashtra
2 Physical, social and economic geography of India and the world. Emphasis on that of Maharashtra.
3 Indian polity and Governance. Constitution and Political System, Rural and Urban local self government.
4 Economic and Social Development.

Main Examination : Paper II ‐ Syllabus
Soils: Physical, chemical and biological properties. Processes and factors of soil
formation. Mineral and organic constituents of soil and their role in maintaining soil
productivity. Soil profile. Problem soils and their reclamation.

Soil and moisture conservation: Causes of soil erosion, methods of control, role of
forests, characteristics of and steps in Watershed Management.

Ecosystems: Types, food chain, food web, ecological pyramids, energy flow,
biogeochemical cycles of carbon and Nitrogen.

Manures and fertilizers: types, organic‐inorganic.

Diseases and pests of plants and animals.
