MPSC selects candidates for civil service jobs in the State of Maharashtra under its various departments like Administration, Police, Forest and Engineering.

Preliminary Examination
Exam conducted for recruitment of Police Sub Inspectors for the state's police force.

Eligibility:-

Qualification:-
• Graduation or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
• Knowledge of Marathi is essential.

Age Limit: - 19-28 years (relaxations as per government rules).

Chest:-
Unexpanded: - 79 cms
Expanded: - 84 cms

Physical Standard:-
For Male:-
Height: - 165 cms (minimum)

For Female:-
Height: - 157 cms (minimum)

Syllabus
The preliminary exam consists of four papers i.e. General Knowledge, General English, General Marathi and General Studies.

In main exam, there will be six papers; two languages papers (English & Marathi) and four papers in General Studies.

The four papers are given below:-
•Indian Constitution & Politics
•History & Geography (with reference to Maharashtra)
•Human Resource Development and Human Rights
•Economy & Planning, Economics of Development & Agriculture and Science & Technology Development
