Ok, as you want the syllabus and the other study materials of General English of 10th Class of Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education so here I am providing you.

UNIT - 3 Grammar.

1. Going to ................................. verb
We are going to spend the holidays in our village.
2. Adjective .................................... infinitive.
Eager to learn. afraid to go, etc.
3. Passive of Present Perfect.
A road has been built and now buses come to my village.
4. Noun .................................... infinitive.
I have some letters to post.
5. Adjective clauses .....................................
The pen that I lost has been found.
6. Not only .................................... as well
The dams not only save water of our rivers for irrigation but also do other things as well.
7. Noun Clauses.

Tell me where the post office is.
8. Present participle in Participial phrases,
He came back home bringing the mail.
9. Gerund (after preposition)
Birds fly by flapping their wings.
10. Present Participle (attributive).
A moving train, a cheering crowd,
11. Past participle (forming an adjectival phrase)
They went up in a balloon filled with hot air.
12. Used to .................................... verb.
We used to buy sugar by the pound: we now buy it by the kilo.
13. Past Perfect Tense.
He didn't know the servant; he hadn't seen him before.
14. Past Participle (Attributive)
i.e. spoilt child, boiled rice


15. Adverbial clauses (with 'as' and 'if')
If it rains, we can't have a game.
As the train moved off, my friends waved good bye to me
16. Relative clause (non defining)
Lal Bahadur, who became Prime Minister of India was born is a poor home.
17. Noun + verb + noun + past participle (object complement)
I found his house locked
18. Pronoun with "self / selves" (emphatic)
The Emperor led the army himself.
The Emperor himself led the army
19. Adverbial Clauses ( with "because" and 'though')
Though he is very old, he is very strong.
I believe it because my father saw it with his own eyes.
20. Adverbial clauses (with ''where'' and 'so that')
Where there are lots of trees, the air is cool.
Note this down so that you may not forget it.
21. Ought to + verb.
We ought to obey our parents.
22. Adverbial clauses (with 'since' for reason and 'as' for manner)
Since you say so, I am ready to believe it. Do as your father tells you to do.
23. Noun clauses (as complement)
This is how he became rich.
24. Passive infinitive
Some trees are known to grow to a height of 400 feet.
25. Passive voice + infinitive.
Porous wanted to be treated as a king.
26. As + adjective + as
Ashok is not as old as Mohan.
27. Seem + infinitive.
The sun seems to go round the earth. but it does not.
28. Noun clause (as subject of a sentence)
What I tell you is the whole truth.
29. Infinitive as subject
To drive fast on a crowded road may easily cause accidents.

UNIT - 4 Unseen. passage of about 200 words.

UNIT - 5 Essay-writing of about 250 words.

UNIT - 6 Letter-writing / Application

UNIT - 7 Translation.
