The Ministry of Minority Affairs provides Scholarship for candidates who are from minority communities such as Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Parsis.

Types of Scholarships
Post Matric scholarships
Means cum merit scholarship scheme

Post Matric scholarships
This Scholarship is provided to students who are studying in Govt or Private higher secondary school/college/university.

It will also cover technical and vocational courses in Industrial Training Institutes/ Industrial Training Centers affiliated with the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT).

Requirements to apply for Post Matric scholarships
Should have minimum 50% marks in Previous Exam

Annual income, from all sources, of the student’s parents or guardian should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.

Scholarships will not be given to more than two students in a family.

30% scholarship will be reserved for girl Students

Scholarship holder under this scheme will not get benefit of any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the course.

Requirements to apply for Means cum merit scholarship scheme

This Scholarship is for only those students who have gotten admission in a recognized college to pursue technical/professional courses, on the basis of a competitive examination.

Students who have gotten admission without competitive examination are also eligible.

Annual income, from all sources, of the student’s parents or guardian should not exceed Rs. 2.50 lakh.

Scholarship holder under this scheme will not get benefit of any other scholarship/stipend for pursuing the course.

Required Documents to Apply for Both
Self-attested and signed passport size photograph
Minority community declaration affidavit
Income declaration affidavit
Proof of permanent residence
