Manchester Metropolitan University is a British public university located in North West England. It was established in 1970. It is the fifth largest university in the United Kingdom in terms of student numbers. MSc Professional Practice Development This innovative part-time programme offers flexibility for those wishing to take a modular approach to their studies to gain a PgCert, PgDip or Master's qualification. Length - 2-6 years part-time (1 afternoon per week) Entry requirements Candidates must have a UK Honours degree (or International equivalent) in a Health and Social Care discipline or have gained substantial professional or clinical experience. Fees - UK and EU part-time student fees: £305 per 10 credits. A Masters qualification typically comprises 180 credits. Year 2 During September of the second year, students typically chose one of two units Evidence based approach to Stroke Management Managing Change in the January the following options are available Contemporary issues in practice Excellence in practice in April, students can chose from the following options: Problem substance abuse Managing long term conditions Policy and politics in practice or another unit that is available Year 3 The final 60 credit unit will commence in the September of the final year, students should discuss their particular focus and project outline with the course leader.
