Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) exam is conducted by Department of School Education, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (Class I-V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Assam. Assam TET exam eligibility- Graduate teacher has been prescribed as BA/B.Sc/ B.Com with 50% marks with B.T./ B.Ed. degree from any recognized university. Hindi Teacher: Pravin/ Ratna in Hindi with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized university or B.A with Hindi as one of the subject with 50% marks and B.T / B. Ed. degree from any recognized University. Classical Teacher (Sanskrit):- Shastri with 50% marks having degree qualification from any recognized University or B.A with Sanskrit as one of the subjects with 50% marks and B.T/ B.Ed degree from any recognized University. Classical Teacher such as Arabic, Urdu, Persian etc:- MM with 50% marks with degree qualification from any recognized University or B.A with Arabic as one of the subjects with 50% marks and B.T./B.Ed. from any recognized University. Classical Teacher (Assamese Language, Manipuri Language):– B.A with Honours/ Major in concerned subject with 50% marks and B.T. /B.Ed. degree from any recognized University Age of the candidate should not be above 38 years. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates. Assam TET Exam Pattern I. Structure & Content of Test for Graduate Teachers in Secondary Schools:- The examination shall be for 200 marks of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each one of them carrying equal marks. The subject areas broadly are as follows. Subject Number of Marks Questions 1 General Studies & Current Affairs 100 MCQs 100 2 Pedagogy & General English 100 MCQs 100 Total Marks 200 II. Structure & Content of Test for Post Graduate Teachers in Secondary/Senior Secondary Schools: The examination shall be for 200 marks of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each one of them carrying equal marks. The subject areas broadly are as follows. Sl. No Subject Number of Marks Time questions alloted Paper I Pedagogy, English, 100 Multiple choice 100 Two (Common to all Basic numerical and questions hours candidates) Assam and its people Paper II (will A candidate can 100 Multiple choice 100 Two have three choose only one questions in each hours options namely option and the choice series option A,B &C) has to be mentioned in the application form. In Paper I the basic numericals will be of Secondary standard The Paper II, will have three options with weight age of question relevant to commerce (Option A), relevant to Science (Option B ) and relevant to general studies and current affairs (Option C),standard of syllabus is of Higher Secondary standard. |
