Maharashtra B.Ed CET is for teaching who want to pursue B.Ed courses in Maharashtra. Admission procedure for this is consists of a centralized admission process (CAP) which is carried out on the basis of marks obtained in the Common Entrance Exam and also on the general eligibility. Eligibility:- 1. Candidates who have completed 3 year Graduation or Post Graduation in any stream from a recognized university or any other course which Maharashtra Government has given equivalency with graduation are eligible to apply. 2.Candidates belonging to General Category who have scored at least 50% marks and those candidate belonging to backward class (SC, ST, VJ-A, NT-B, NT-C, NT-D, OBC, SBC) who have scored at least 45% marks are eligible to apply. 3. Candidates from Universities outside Maharashtra belonging to all categories are required to score at least 50% marks at graduation level or post graduate degree exam in order to be eligible for CET exam. MHT CET B.Ed Eligibility Seat Reservation: Seat Reservation in B.Ed colleges is done faculty wise. Reservation: As per government policy 40% of the total intake of the colleges of is reserved for Backward Class and Other Backward Class category candidates. Category Wise Reservation is as follows:- Scheduled caste and scheduled caste persons who have adopted Buddhism: 13% Scheduled tribe: 7% De-notified tribes (14 similar tribes) (VJ/DT): 3% Normadic tribes (28 tribes before January 1990 and similar tribes) (NT-1) B: 2.5% Normadic tribe (Dhangar and similar tribes) (NT-2) C: 3.5% Normadic tribe (Vanjari and similar tribes) (NT-3)D : 2% Other backward classes: 19% Total: 50% Distribution of Seats: Distribution of Seats is as follows 1) 70 percent quota for home universities 2) 28 percent quota for universities in Maharashtra other than home universities 3) 02 percent quota for universities other than Maharashtra |
