The Medical College Library came into existence along with the Medical College Baroda in 1949. The current Library of Medical College Baroda, Dr.Thakorbhai V. Patel Library is housed in 2 floors of a separate building in the college campus since 1990.

It has supplies for separate reading halls and rooms for Undergraduate and postgraduate students and isolated reading rooms for faculty members including new hall of reading room near school of physiotherapy in college campus.

For U.G: One big Hall: - 270 + 90 (New) = 360
For P.G: One Hall: - 20 + 60 (New) = 80
For Staff room: - 10 + 10 (New) = 20

Computer: One Computer room with 15 nodes

(C) Working Hours: The library functions as under
(I) 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. all working days
Monday to Friday
(II) 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. on Saturday.
(III) Reading room for students is open 24 hours.
