MCh (Neurosurgery) Program-

The department offers course in neurosurgery to award degree of

Duration-

There are two streams of neurosurgery course in the department

1. 3 year course
2. 6 year course

Eligibility

1. 3 year course: -

M S (General Surgery) degree of a University recognized by Medical Council of India

The entrance exams are conducted in December and May every year.

2. 6 year course: -

MBBS degree of a University recognized by Medical Council of India and must have completed the required period of pre-registration internship (12 months) in a recognized hospital.

The entrance exams are conducted every May and December.

Procedure of selection

1. 3 year course: -

Candidate is selected through 2 step competitive examination held at national level.

Written examination of multiple choice questions based on MS (General Surgery) and Basic Neurosurgery.

There is a departmental interview where candidates are examined to evaluate their clinical acumen and aptitude.

Final selection of the candidate is made on the bases of combined evaluation of Written examination and interview

2. 6 year course: -

Those candidates who clear the AIIMS post graduate entrance examination after MBBS are called for counseling and the selection is made on merit base.
