The University of Illinois at Springfield (UIS) is a public university in Springfield, Illinois, United States. It was established in 1969. UIS is a member of the Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges. UIS is also part of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU).

MBA –

The MBA at UIS is a generalist degree that provides career building opportunities for persons in all walks of life.

The MBA consists of 12 courses–8 core courses and 4 electives. Most core courses meet week nights on the UIS campus.

Minimum requirements:

Graduation from college or university.

You must comply with the standard admission requirements for graduate applicants.

You must meet their English Proficiency Admission Requirements.

Applications with an undergraduate cumulative GPA below 2.0 will not be considered. A cumulative GPA over 2.5 is preferred.

Entrance Requirements

GPA/GMAT scores must meet entrance requirements in order to register for MBA courses.

Submit the following to the UIS Office of Admissions:

Graduate application and application fee

Official transcripts from every college attended

These requirements should be sent to the UIS MBA office:

5) A career goals essay (two pages or less, single-spaced) outlining reasons for pursing the degree

GMAT scores under 400 will not be considered.

Deadlines: International students applying from abroad should submit complete files by:
– June 1 for fall terms;
– November 1 for spring terms; and
– April 1 for summer sessions.
