The University of Malawi through its Management Studies Department under the Faculty of Commerce offers the Executive MBA programme at the Malawi Polytechnic.

The programme is targeted at graduates and managers wishing to pursue a career in business administration in the private or public sectors as well as in NGOs.

Programme duration: maximum of two years (24 months)


Entry Requirements

(a) Students who hold a first degree from any recognized University will be eligible for the MBA Programme.

(b) Applicants who hold first degrees should have at least a degree with a strong pass from the University of Malawi, or its equivalents, and at least three years work experience at a middle management position after obtaining the degree qualification.

(c) In special circumstances applicants who do not hold first degree but possess relevant professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA etc may be considered for the MBA programme.

A panel of assessors comprising Head of Management Studies Department, Coordinator of the MBA programme, one subject specialist and Dean of Postgraduate Studies shall decide upon eligibility in these cases

Programme fees

Fees for the MBA programme are 7,650.00 US Dollars for foreign students and an equivalent of 6,650.00 US Dollars
