Re: MBA Low GPA High GMAT
Yes you certainly get the admission in good MBA College with Low GPA High GMAT score but for this you need to get the story right. MBA admission with Low GPA High GMAT Scenario 1: Low GPA / percentage, from a top tier college If you’ve graduated from any of the best undergraduate colleges in India (like IIT, NIT, BITS) or abroad (Ivy league universities in the US) where selectivity is very tight, mediocre grades could be justified with a high GMAT score. Scenario 2: Low graduation marks from a mediocre college Scenario 3: Somewhere in between the above 2 scenarios You can do following things Look closely at your numbers. Address low quant scores. Address low verbal scores. Evaluate the numbers in the context of your demographic profile. Use your essays to counteract the low numbers. Select the right schools. Consider using the optional essay Overcome low GPA in business school application: 1. Ace your GMAT: If you are an international candidate, your high GPA might not be as valued as those studying in US/Europe 2. Alternative transcripts and certifications- These are great add-ons to your academic evaluations. Of course, these cannot increase your GPA but it can surely act as a guarantee that you can do well in the MBA program. 3. Your story: As always, your story is your best bet when you want to overcome/compensate for your low GPA 4. Other facets of your application: Make sure you use your essays, LOR, EC and most importantly your story so as to compensate for your GPA issues |
