The Center of Excellence in Management Education of University of Sri Jayewardenepura offers MBA degrees in Management, specially designed to provide a comprehensive postgraduate academic qualification coupled with real life experiences in management to face highly competitive local and foreign business environment.

Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission to the MBA programs, one must possess one of the following qualifications and a good working knowledge of English:

1. A Special Bachelor degree with a class standing in Business Administration/ Public Administration/ Commerce/ Human Resource Management/ Marketing/ Accountancy/ Finance/ Estate Management and Valuation/ Business Economics/ Operations Management/ Management Information Systems/ Economics from a recognized university.

2. A General Bachelor Degree with a first class or second class (upper division) standing in subject areas from a recognized University.

3. A Bachelor Degree in any subject area from a recognized University with 3 years’ post-qualifying relevant experience.

4. A Postgraduate Diploma of minimum 1 year or Higher Degree in Management Studies from a recognized University.

5. A Postgraduate Diploma of minimum 1 year or Higher Degree in any other field from a recognized University with two years’ relevant experience.

6. One of the following professional qualifications with 3 years’ post-qualifying relevant experience.

o Institute of Chartered Accountants (ACA)- Passed Finalist
o Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) – Passed Finalist
o Association of Chartered & Certified Accountants (ACCA)- Passed Finalist
o Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) UK- Diploma
o Chartered Institute of Bankers (ACIB) UK- Diploma
o Chartered Institute of Bankers (AIB) Sri Lanka – Diploma
o Institution of Engineers (CIE) UK /Sri Lanka – Associate member or above
o Ceylon Technical College – Higher National Diploma in Accountancy (HNDA) (Four Year Course)
o Ceylon Technical College – Higher National Diploma in Management/ Commerce (HNDM/C) (Four Year Course)
o Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators – Member
o Attorney – at – Law

8. One of the following professional qualifications with 5 years’ post-qualifying relevant experience.
o Diploma in Marketing awarded by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM)
o Professional qualification in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Personnel Management.

9. Other professional qualifications equivalent to the above are considered subject to the approval of the Senate.
