Re: MBA GD Topics With Answers

Hello, here I am providing you a GD topic for the MBA admission with answer as under:

Is it safe to eat Maggi?
Maggi has high calorie density, has high glycemic load, contains negligible dietary fiber, flavor is artificial all reasons to Not eat it on regular basis.
This is a list of food additives (non natural) on wiki List of food additives, Codex Alimentarius makes you think what you are indirectly eating, maggi contains not one but multiple items from this list.
Food giants like nestle have found ways around to mask usage of possibly harmful contents, they use fancy names to fool you from knowing what you are ingesting, eg: hydrogenated vegetable oil, hydrolised groundnut protein is same as monosodium glutamate, (see flavour enhancer) again, refer to codex alimentarius to know what you are eating, these substances are approved as they are Generally recognized as safe, that sounds too shady! There is lots of lobbying, corruption involved to get it scanned by FDA's so they can sell whatever they want.
In case of maggi, inside of stomach maggi does not break down to pulp
We live in India, why eat processed food when we have such a rich culture for home made food? Why are Indians obsessed with homemade food?
Maggi has caught the eye due to high lead levels, obviously High Pb levels are associated with toxicity, neuro-degeneration, etc and IT IS HARMFUL for human health, but there are several other products with harmful contents.
Packaged food digests differently than our home cooked/fresh food
