Harvard University Employees Credit Union (HUECU) provides private educational loans to international students with no co-signer.

About the financial aid of Harvard

Need-Based Fellowships

The School awards need-based fellowships to provide access to admitted students with limited financial resources.

All students with financial need are welcome to apply for fellowships after being admitted to the program.

Eligibility & Criteria

HBS Fellowships are awarded based on financial need.

Your academic or professional performance/merit are not used in financial aid decisions.

Nearly 50% of the class receives an average of approximately $34,000 per year in need-based HBS Fellowships.

Any HBS Fellowship award will be based on an analysis of your income for the prior three years and your assets.

If you are married, then they will also consider your spouse's income and assets, and your higher cost of living will be a factor.

There will be a base loan package before any fellowship is awarded.

The average MBA debt for the Class of 2015 was approximately $79,667.

RETIREMENT AND OTHER ASSETS

Retirement assets in qualified retirement accounts with a value of $100,000 or less are not considered available for the MBA Program.

FUNDS FROM OUTSIDE SCHOLARSHIPS

Students may receive up to $20,000 (or $10,000 per year) over the two-year MBA Program from an outside scholarship source.

Special Interest Fellowships

The HBS Fellowship Program with a variety of fellowship options suited to different student backgrounds and interests.

1. The Robert S. Kaplan (MBA 1983) Life Sciences Fellowship
Open to students with an interest in a science-based career.

2. Horace W. Goldsmith Fellowship
Open to students demonstrating non-profit leadership.

3. Junior Achievement Fellowship
Open to students with Junior Achievement experience.

4. John H. McArthur Canadian Fellowship
Open to all Canadian students.
