The details of the MBA program from Delhi school of economics is as given below:


Diploma/Degree: Degree

The Course: Post Graduate

The Course Duration: Two years four semesters full-time programme

Seats Intake:

Numbers of seats for MBA(IB) and MBA(HRD) is 73 (62+11) for each Program (General -31, OBC – 17, SC – 9, ST – 5 = 62). As per University rules, the seats for PH, CW, and foreign students (FS) categories are supernumerary. Over and above 62 seats, there are 11 seats (2 PH, 3 CW, and 6 FS seats = 11).

Eligibility for Admission:

Indian Students

i. Qualified in Bachelor’s Degree examination of the University of Delhi or an examination acknowledged as equivalent thereto in any discipline, with minimum 50% marks in cumulative or equivalent thereto in the grading system. Relaxation in eligibility for aspirants of reserved category would be as per university rules.

ii. Appeared for CAT conducted by Indian Institute of Management(IIMs).

Foreign Students

The Foreign Nationals looking for admission in the University shall have to get themselves registered with the Foreign Students Registry (FSR) in fulfilment with the schedule notified by the FSR. No Foreign students will be admitted straight by the Department. (Vide University circular no.Aca.I/UG-PG: Admissions/2014 dated May 22, 2014)

Selection Procedure

A three-layered selection method, i.e., the CAT Percentile, the Group Discussion and the Personal Interview is followed for admission to both the programmes. This is done with a view to recognize and process the interpersonal skills in accumulation to the overall knowledge of the students.

Applicants are required to surrender their CAT score after appearing in the Common Admission Test conducted by IIMs. Thereafter, the applicants which are short-listed on the basis of their CAT percentile will be called for GD and interview.
